Inuit sculptors use a wide variety of stone, whalebone, caribou antler and ivory. The ivory is walrus tusk, polar bear teeth and narwhal tusk. Six Nations sculptors primarily use colourful Brazilian soapstone and steatite from the Appalachian Mountains.
