Bio: Leslie Donald:
Immigrated to Canada from Trinidad in the
1970's. He began his exploration of pottery
in London, Ontario in the mid 80's imitating
the Southwest American First Nations people's
pottery method of laying coil upon coil of
clay and smoothing it out to the desired shape
of the pot. It is fired to bisque in a kiln
and then fired in sawdust in a small brick
enclosure outdoors producing a totally unique
colour and design.
