The Innuit Gallery
Presents

A Year of Celebration
for the
Innuit Gallery.

We are marking our 25th Anniversary this summer and it seems just like yesterday, that we opened the gallery, on August 1st 1983.

At the moment we are working out the final details for this momentous occasion, so keep watching for further details.  Our plans for the celebration include surprises by our artists and friends.

We are again looking forward to the 2008 Pangnirtung Print Show which opens on June 20th and our other featured show, the 2008 Cape Dorset Print Show in October.

Now we want to tell you about three wonderful carvings by the off-spring of the world famous Kenojuak and Johnniebo Ashevak and Pitselak Ashoona .

#C-42 "Spirits" is by Ningeosiak Ashoona | Price: $7500

The great grand-daughter of Pitseolak The spirit is holding two owls carved in lovely green serpentinite. It measures 16" x 14"x 17".

#C-23 "Proud Bear" by Ohito Ashoona, grandson of Pitseolak | Price: $7900

A massive bear sniffing the air for his next catch, carved in dark green Cape Dorset serpentinite. It measures 14" x 9" x 22".
# C-43 "Faces" by Adamie Ashevak, son of Kenojuak and Johnniebo | Price: $10,000

A vertical carving of great expression showing the new and old, with modern and traditional faces on both sides of this large piece of beautiful black serpentine stone. It measures 26" x 12" x 7"
